The Campervan Collective conducted a two day community engagement textile workshop called ‘Textile Time Machine’. The workshop was part of the wonderful community art event by Kirklees Council called Woven Festival. Below is the prompt shared with the participants:

The Textile Time Machine from The Campervan Collective.  Explore the past and future to create a fantastical time machine using textiles, words and mark making. Bring a textile object or scrap that holds a personal memory for you and dive into a creative journey to explore collaboration, memory and the concept of home.  You don’t need to have any skills for this workshop – you can knot, wind, wrap or stitch. If you don’t have a textile object to bring, we will be providing lots of fabric to choose from. All ages welcome!
